MEET RON BAUM
For more than three decades, Broward County criminal defense attorney Ron L. Baum has dedicated his career to protecting the rights and freedom of people facing criminal charges. Whether representing clients charged with misdemeanors, serious felonies, DUI offenses, or complex criminal matters, Ron understands that every case has the potential to change a person’s life.

Over the course of his career, Ron has successfully handled thousands of criminal cases and has tried more than 600 jury trials, earning a reputation throughout Broward County as a skilled, ethical, and relentless advocate in the courtroom.
Extensive Trial Experience
Ron earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Maryland before receiving his Juris Doctor from Nova University School of Law in Fort Lauderdale. He was admitted to practice law in Florida, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and is also admitted to the Federal Bar.
His legal career extends well beyond private practice. In 1990, Ron was appointed a Traffic Magistrate for Broward County and was later promoted to Administrative Magistrate, serving until returning to private practice full-time in 1998.
Throughout his career, Ron has remained active within the legal community, serving on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels, volunteering with numerous charitable organizations, and educating law enforcement officers on criminal and traffic law. His experience both inside and outside the courtroom gives clients the confidence that their case is in experienced hands.
